These BESTSHOT scenes have been created with BestMan. The files need to be renamed for the respective camera. See "BestShot help" for more information.
 
  1. BESTSHOT scene for photography with external flash light:
    When using an external flash light the internal flash should be turned off, the whitebalance should be set to "Flash" and the shutter speed should be set to a fixed 1/50sec. The external flash light should be operated in auto mode with the aperture set to 4.
    All those parameters are automatically set when selecting the BESTSHOT file to the right.
     
  

 

 
       
  1. BESTSHOT scene for party photography
    For photos at a party I prefer not to use the flash as it ruins the atmosphere of the photos. As usually lighting is low I set the ISO to 200 (400 gives me too much noise in the picture). White balance for me works best when set to "Tungsten". All those parameters are set by this BESTSHOT file.
  

 
   
The Exilim Zoom Series is missing 4 BESTSHOT scenes, that are available in the Exilim Pro series. The BESTSHOT files you can download below match those scenes as good as possible. They are based on original photographs taken with an Exilim Pro EX-P600 and the respective BESTSHOT programs. The graphics can be exchanged with BestMan if you wish to do so.  
       
  • Soft Focus
    The Exilim Pro series has a soft filter that is implemented in firmware. Obviously this canīt be implemented into the Exilim Zoom series with a BESTSHOT scene. With the help of the following BESTSHOT scene the pictures will be best prepared for final softening on your PC by using low sharpness and high saturation. Additonally the program- and screen capture types are set to "Portrait". Use right mouse-click and "Save as ..." to save the .jpe file.
    
  • Sports
    BESTSHOT for taking pictures of sports events. Mainly the program mode is set to "Action" in order to achieve short shutter times. Use right mouse-click and "Save as ..." to save the .jpe file.
    
  • Splashing Water
    Again the main parameter is the program mode which is set to "Action" in order to "freeze" the water with a short shutter time. Use right mouse-click and "Save as ..." to save the .jpe file.
    
  • Soft flowing water
    This BESTSHOT file uses a long shutter release time (programm-mode set to "Landscape"). Additionally the sharpness is set to "low" and white balance is set to "Daylight". Use right mouse-click and "Save as ..." to save the .jpe file.
    
       

BestMan is shareware. The unregistered version does not have any time limitation and is fully functional for the basic parameters, but all saved BESTSHOT scenes are watermarked with a BestMan logo in the lower right corner. The registered version does not do any watermarking and offers extended parameters to be set.
